No
Yep, just call and ask to reserve that room.
Yes, but only for dinner. They are closed for lunch
Nope. That's Chinese, not Japanese
No, they will have tonkatsu and chicken katsu. Unless it's on special (which changes), the normal menu did not have a shrimp katsu option when I went.
You should definitely do the do there.
For your asking. I was be able to get confidence by eating their didhes and use my credit card to be paid 150 USD I remember. I'm not sure how much is reasonable for you, I'm from japanese and remember and I'm now in Mexico where is much cheaper than I staying now. But It's real Japanese I have thought in the restaurant. I was because I and my wife stayed in the restaurant and ate Sukiyaki and some sides, which I paid it only.
No. It's not a Chinese buffet.
Great food, excellent wait staff. Best Japanese food I have had in all of Charlotte. Don’t let the area fool you. This restaurant could hold its own in uptown.
Food was great.. location is small. Staff is very nice. Gyoza was excellent
Very good Japanese food in South Charlotte area. Opens at 12 for lunch and there is normall several people in line waiting for it to open. There are always 3 specials every day, try one and you will be impressed.
finally a truly authentic japanese food! people are waiting outside just to wait for their turn. so avoid the usual peak lunch and dinner time to get seated right away.
I was born and raised in Charlotte, and never knew that there was an authentic Japanese restaurant so close to my home. My first visit there was very pleasant, but it was very crowded. Not only was it dinner hour, but the restaurant itself is pretty popular. The food was thoroughly enjoyable, although my portion of miso ramen was a bit sparse. I enjoy the dining environment, as it was well lit and not too loud. I will definitely coming back here soon.
I always recommend anyone to come here for delicious authentic Japanese food. The restaurant is a small and quaint place that reminds me of what you'd see in a restaurant in Japan. I've always left the restaurant feeling content and full.
Best food we could’ve asked for & at a great price. We are just visiting, or we would happily go again! My chicken curry lunch special & the chicken teriyaki was so yummy. Tender chicken. Delicious!
Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Charlotte. We arrived when they were extremely busy, the staff did amazingly in a difficult situation with a full house. The service was top quality and food even better. The entire experience was perfect highly recommend.
Phenomenal food, legit , they have cold soba. Excellent gyouza and lychee sakeCalm, quiet atmosphere
This was our first time to Musashi and I was impressed!!! Excellent food and service. We had sushi and bento boxes and it was all delicious. Will definitely go again.
Was craving some good sushi and found the perfect place. Fresh and tasty sushi. Nice environment and staff was really pleasant. Definitely coming back soon!
You can't get better sushi unless you catch it on the end of your fishing pole. Best sushi on the east coast! Service is top-notch. Love the nigiri (sushi) and the nigori (sake). Wish the was a 5+++ rating...
Awesome sushi nice place great staff , when do you wanna to treat your self right , enjoy it
Good food and good service. There were a few groups of Japanese customers, so it must mean it's authentic 😀
I go with my wife to this nice place quite a bit! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot at least once a month. The meals are just great, the staff is welcoming and the rates are fair. I enjoy going in this place over a good dinner.
The best sushi in Charlotte. The best, and most "traditional" ramen I've had in Charlotte. The only thing I wish was different about their ramen is that the effort would be soft boiled instead of hard boiled. Don't get me wrong, they're the experts, I imagine there is a reason they chose hard boiled eggs, so I don't count it against them, I just prefer soft boiled eggs. Their sushi is some other the most creative, and most delicious out of anything I've had in Charlotte. Cannot recommend them highly enough. I do need to try more of their traditional quisine though.
Good traditional Japanese food, quaint atmosphere and good service.
Musashi is the best example of the saying good things come in small packages. The quaint restaurant will drop flavor bombs that will spoil your pallet for all other Japanese restaurant's out there. The sashimi, sushi, dumplings and the fried squid legs are a no brainer. You can thank me later 🙂
Everything was simple and delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the craft of their cooking.$$ Worth it!
The floor was sticky, the sushi is just alright. The sushi rolls are a little over priced for what they are. The service was okay for the place being really packed
The place was excellent! If you're looking for real Japanese restaurants, you should go to this one! If you come at 12-1 it can be a little crowed. Either come early or eat late.
Great local Japanese dive. Opens at EXACTLY noon for lunch.
Great food and service in a awesome traditional restaurant setting
Finally found Ramen the way I remembered it from living in Japan. Everything about this place reminds me of Japan. We will definitely be back.
My Favorite Japanese spot in Charlotte, Definitely the most authentic. I love that it's a small spot where the chefs are able to cook fresh and is given to you fresh. A very straight forward menu.I'm literally waiting for quarantine to end so we can go back again.
When it comes to classic Japanese food. I highly recommend. Now lets talk about the Tonkatsu. As you can see in these pictures. There is a common denominator in all of these photos. The Tonkatsu. You have to get it. I literally feel like i wasted a trip here if i don't get the tonkatsu.Ramen is great, especially for the price, but they definitely stick to the basics when it comes to broths. The sushi isn't top tier or the best that Charlotte can offer, but when it comes to the basics they definitely have you covered.Great value, nice staff, and authentic flavors all around.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, good prices! It felt like I was back in Japan. I'm very excited to go back and try more of their food.
Had this place a couple weeks ago and it was great. The sushi was really fresh. The ramen was delicious definitely coming back.
There still open for take out order. I ordered Chicken-Katsu Teisyoku and it is also coming with Tempura and sushi rolls. Nice volume and tastes.
This place is great! It's probably the only truly "authentic" Japanese restaurant in all of Charlotte. The food is just good and simple. It's done right. I feel like if you go to Japan and eat at a local mom and pop shop, this is what you would experience. It's a great little gem here in Charlotte.
Excellent Japanese food. The Chirashi was very good and fresh along with being prepared well. My wife has a katsu bento box that was also very well done. It is hard to find good Japanese restaurants owned by Japanese so I highly recommend this place.
Some of the sushi pieces had too much rice and we waited a long time to get our plates (that's only because there was just 1 cook). However, food was quite good. Green tea even better.
Had to wait but it was SO worth it. Came on a Saturday night around 8 and it was packed. For good reason! The pork dumplings were amazing with incredible spicy mustard and I had a NYC high roller/high dollar something or other. It's a pricey roll (like $14.95) but one of the best I've ever had in Charlotte and probably my new favorite. It's huge, filling and so fresh! Will be back!
The best Japanese restaurant on this side of town, they have an authentic menu and fresh seafood that never tastes frozen. Their sushi menu is broad and aligned with traditional rolls and a few with more local/Western tastes in mind. The restaurant is small with a few barstools, booths and tables, and a reservation in advance tatami room.
I've lived in Charlotte for twelve years and had never had the opportunity to eat here. I had read multiple excellent reviews, and multiple friends really recommended it. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped. The sushi rolls and nigiri I had during my visit were excellent. Fresh, tasty, and not overloaded with rice. The staff was friendly as well. Can't wait to try the ramen next time!
OMG!!! Musashi Japanese Restaurant is the best the food I’ve ever had for Japanese food this is the real deal came with two friends and we enjoyed the atmosphere and food I will back
I just had my meal here and it was amazing. I chose this restaurant because not many places in the area have tempura udon. The service was fantastic as well. They were so quick and efficient. I would definitely come back here.
Best japanese food in charlotte.
We arrived at this restaurant for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. We recommend this place to all.
The menu and service were ahead of our expectations. We truly loved the environment of this spot. Great spot to take the family out for dinner.
Friendly staff, great service and really delicious food! So glad we found Musashi. It’s become a family favorite.
Loved this restaurant! The staff were super nice, and unlike most "Japanese" restaurants, the staff here actually is Japanese. More importantly, they were very friendly, and the service was perfect. The food was simply wonderful. I briefly wondered how Americanized it was, but quickly came to not care... It's all delicious! The katsu bento I ordered came with so much food (all super tasty) and the potato croquettes hit the spot (I actually wanted to come here just for them, but the rest of the menu was too tempting). The atmosphere was different than most restaurants: quiet, homey, and cozy. I found it really peaceful and amenable to savoring the meal and good conversation. I hope to come back and try the sushi soon.
We are here often. My crew are ramen aficionados. You can get fancy fancy like FB or mediocre like that other place and this place is the best. Growing up on asian food this is like grandma made and this place feels like unpretentious and as homestyle. The food is always great its a family place no one is acting like your anything but welcome.
Exceptional sushi and very good ramen and other traditional Japanese fare. The prices are a little high and expect rough customer service if you don't speak Japanese, but I suppose it's all part of their charm. Warning, do not attempt to go with a large group and split the check, it's a bit of a nightmare.
Food is good but service could be more friendly. I have been here several times because the food is prepared very well. Rich menu of Japanese dishes. I have not tried the sushi because there are so many more interesting options that are not as easy to find. My main reservation is with the service. Perhaps because I mostly go there by myself, I always get a feeling that they rather serve a larger group. Last time the place was quite full and the usher tried to tell me that there is no table available but welcomed a group of four. When I pointed to a seat at the counter, he reluctantly waved me in. Taking reservations would solve this. Ordered an apatiser and a noodle dish and they arrived within two minutes of each other.
Get the lunch special of the sushi bento box or the box lunch special. The chicken and pork katsu are also amazing. So crispy and tender. Best Japanese place in Charlotte in my opinion.
They serve large portions and for fair prices. kind owner. I recommend this place.
Really good food but was very packed and didnt have anywhere for incoming guests to wait
Great place to have authentic food.Healthy, clean and very affordable. Waiters are friendly but don’t say one word. That b box at lunch is $11 including soup! It looks few pieces but each one is huge.
This is a great restaurant with authentic Japanese food. It's relatively inexpensive and cozy with very little frills. If you want great food without a lot of pretense, then this is the place!
